Phil Hill

Phil Hill

Our good friend, Phil Hill, passed away on August 28, 2008. He was Race Legend’s first client. His biography remains posted here as a small tribute.

America’s first Formula One Champion in 1961, Hill is forever linked with Enzo Ferrari and his stable of spectacular red cars. Hill had a varied career stretching over 20 years, remarkable in winning both his first and last race outings. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, Sebring 12 Hours three times and a host of sports car, endurance and Formula One races. He also set the fastest top speed for a MG. Hill was a long-time contributing editor to Road & Track Magazine and the author of two books on Ferrari cars.
