Birmingham, UK – Sunday 11 January 2015: The Project Brabham sustainable open source racing model to return the iconic Brabham Racing team to tracks around the globe received an overwhelming positive response to its first public showcase at Autosport International, held at the NEC in Birmingham 8-11 January 2015.

Exhibiting across the two dedicated trade days and continuing across the packed out public days on Saturday and Sunday, Project Brabham’s debut at Europe’s biggest motorsport show gave its 82,000 plus visitors the chance to become the heartbeat of the new Brabham Racing team.

An impressive number seized the opportunity to sign up to the Brabham-Digital knowledge sharing and e-learning platform. The first of its kind in the sport, the portal will provide fans, drivers and engineers with unrivalled access to Brabham Racing’s journey back to the track.

Numerous Project Brabham founders, Early Bird backers and members of the rapidly growing international community made a beeline for the Hall 7 stand to meet Brabham Racing Team Principal David Brabham and his team, and purchase the new official Project Brabham t-shirt launched at the show on Thursday. Visitors also supported the Project Brabham vision by completing a short survey to aid data for the all-important investor prospectus that is essential to securing the required funds to progress the three-year LMP2 programme in the FIA WEC.

“It’s been pretty special to have the first opportunity to meet so many of our Project Brabham members… We’ve been inundated with enquiries from people and companies wishing to offer their services or wanting to know how to get involved, right through to universities keen for us to support education.”

As well as being on hand throughout the event, David was busy spreading the Brabham Racing vision across the show’s various stages including the Autosport Central Stage, F1 Racing Grid and 60 Years of Motorsport News stand.

David commented; “It’s been a tremendous four days exhibiting at Autosport International. We have been staggered by the level of interest and goodwill towards the project from the industry and public alike, and the sign-ups to Brabham-Digital.

“Being here is about much more than driving awareness of the Fan, Driver and Engineer web applications. It’s been pretty special to have the first opportunity to meet so many of our Project Brabham members and to see the merchandise being so popular. We’ve been inundated with enquiries from people and companies wishing to offer their services or wanting to know how to get involved, right through to universities keen for us to support education.

“Autosport International is widely regarded as the official start to the motorsport season so we look forward to coming back in January 2016, when we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of my dad, Sir Jack’s historic 1966 F1 title.”

Thanks to its crowdfunding success the Project Brabham Indiegogo page remains open under the Forever Funding pilot, allowing supporters to pre-purchase an annual membership to any of the three Brabham-Digital online experiences.
