With over 80 wins in a wide range of international motor races, Roy Salvadori competed in Formula 1 and in sports cars for the Cooper, Vanwall, BRM, Aston Martin and Connaught factory teams. Salvadori and co-driver Caroll Shelby won the 1959 Le Mans for Aston Martin. He won the Grands Prix of Australia, New Zealand and England with his best result a fourth overall in the 1958 FIA Formula 1 championship.
